Job description

Position Title : Mid / Senior Android Developer (Digital)

Location : Hybrid - Winchester, VA | Pensacola, VA | Vienna, VA

Position Status : Contract (W2 with PTO or C2C)

Pay Rate : $70 - $75 per hour (As per years of Experience)

Position Description

Join a dynamic Digital Execution Mobile team building innovative, secure, and high-performing Android applications used by millions. As a Mid / Senior Android Developer, you'll design, develop, and enhance mobile banking features, working closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and shape the future of enterprise-wide mobile platforms.

Required Skills / Education

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience : 5-10 years of progressive Android application development.

Technical Expertise :

  • Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Android Studio
  • Integration of RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum or SAFe development environments
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, mobile accessibility standards, and performance optimization
  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical and debugging abilities, effective communication, and collaborative team mindset.

    Nice to Have : Knowledge of reusable component libraries, mentorship experience, and a passion for staying ahead of Android OS updates and emerging technologies.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications that deliver secure, seamless user experiences.
  • Resolve production issues and improve performance and platform stability.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, and backend developers in an Agile environment.
  • Write and maintain unit and UI tests; participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality.
  • Lead development of complex features and influence architecture and platform standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to reusable libraries and enterprise-wide mobile strategies.
