What You’ll Do

• Lead installation, configuration, and service of fire alarm systems across large-scale commercial projects.
• Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new systems.
• Read blueprints and design documents to ensure accurate installations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 2–4 technicians onsite.
• Perform inspections and ensure systems meet code requirements.
• Communicate clearly with project leads and clients on progress and challenges.
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in rotating on-call schedules.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.

Must-Have Skills

✅ 3+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarms, structured cabling, conduit, or nurse call systems

✅ Proven leadership in commercial environments

✅ Ability to read blueprints and work independently

✅ Own tools (punch, snips, scissors) and reliable transportation

✅ Strong troubleshooting and installation skills

✅ Comfortable working on ladders and lifts

Work Environment

You’ll work on large-scale commercial projects throughout the greater Nashville area, including new construction and existing facilities. Shift times may vary based on project needs, and on-call rotation is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
