In an exciting and challenging fast-paced environment, the Millwright repairs hydraulic equipment, welds, performs crane maintenance and repairs and installs plant equipment.
What You'll Do :
- Requires ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches.
- Has working knowledge of various types of gear reductions and motor / reducer coupling alignments.
- Must have knowledge and ability to repair hydraulic equipment.
- Has knowledge to perform the following welding procedures : mig, tig, stick (including stainless) and gas welding.
- Operates mobile equipment.
- Performs crane maintenance and has knowledge of the proper safe rigging methods.
- Able to work at heights.
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules.
- Must have ability and desire to work with others.
- Meets attendance requirements.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
What You'll Need :
Commitment to safetyMinimum high school diploma or equivalent G.E.D..Completion of EQS in-house Apprentice Program or a minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance in a heavy industrial facility preferred. Previous maintenance experience in a steelmaking environment preferred but not required.Previous maintenance experience in a steelmaking environment preferred.Ability to pass a written skills-based test, as well as blueprint test, hydraulic test, and welding test.Driving is a function of this position but not a requirement in accordance with the motor vehicle safety program.
