- Senior Microsoft Solutions Architect / Migration Engineer
- to lead the design, delivery, and optimization of Microsoft cloud and on-premises solutions for diverse client environments. You will serve as a trusted advisor—owning architecture, guiding migrations, solving complex technical challenges, and mentoring engineers—while partnering closely with clients to deliver measurable business outcomes. This is a hands-on, client-facing role with significant impact across pre-sales, solution design, project execution, and knowledge transfer.
- Local candidates preferred, but 100% remote candidates will be considered. Position is a full-time (W-2) position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Lead Microsoft Migrations :
- Design and execute end-to-end migrations for Exchange to Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online, Active Directory consolidations, Intune / Autopilot deployments, and Teams / Teams Voice, ensuring minimal disruption and secure cutovers.
- Design Modern Microsoft Platforms :
- Build scalable architectures spanning Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server, Hyper-V / VMware, and MECM / System Center, aligned to security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Own Exchange and Mail Flow :
- Lead Exchange upgrades, hybrid configurations, advanced SMTP routing, mail flow troubleshooting, and hygiene / anti-spam integrations.
- Tool-Driven Execution :
- Leverage migration utilities such as Quest and BitTitan to plan, run, and validate migrations with repeatable methodologies and clear success criteria.
- Endpoint and Device Management :
- Implement Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and MECM for modern management, compliance, security baselines, and software lifecycle automation.
- Network and Infrastructure Architecture :
- Collaborate on core network designs (DNS, DHCP, identity, connectivity, routing) that underpin resilient Microsoft workloads.
- Documentation and Enablement :
- Produce high-quality architecture diagrams, runbooks, as-built documentation, and deliver admin / end-user training.
- Client Leadership and Advisory :
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, lead workshops, conduct health checks, and present recommendations with clarity and confidence.
- Mentorship and Team Leadership :
- Provide technical guidance to project teams, uplift engineering practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support and Escalations :
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues; drive root-cause analysis and preventative improvements.
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with
- Active Directory
- design, migrations, and consolidations.
- 3+ years leading
- Office 365 / Exchange Online migrations
- , including hybrid, staged, or cutover approaches, and advanced mail flow troubleshooting.
- Proven expertise with
- Microsoft Exchange (2003–2019)
- architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Practical experience with
- Quest
- and / or
- BitTitan
- migration utilities executing large-scale mailbox, file, and tenant-to-tenant moves.
- Strong proficiency with
- Microsoft Intune
- and
- Autopilot
- for modern endpoint management and provisioning.
- Solid experience with
- Microsoft Teams
- deployments; familiarity with Teams Voice preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to produce architecture artifacts, plans, and as-built documentation, and to deliver client-facing presentations and training.
- Excellent consulting skills : requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, project planning, and risk management.
- One or more current or legacy Microsoft certifications (e.g.,
- MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP
- ).
- Preferred Skills
- Microsoft MECM / System Center

- Familiarity with

- frameworks in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Scripting / automation (PowerShell) for migration orchestration, configuration at scale, and operational efficiency.
- Relevant certifications such as
- MCSE
- and
- CCNA
- are a plus.
