Position Summary
AquaStar Pool Products, Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of high-quality pool and spa products dedicated to innovation, safety, and reliability, is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk supports day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable, inventory controls, and routine HR clerical tasks. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working across departments while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Accounts Payable Support
- Process and support AP functions, including invoice coding, matching, approval routing, and discrepancy resolution
- Assist with vendor setup and maintenance
- Support general ledger activities including invoice research, account reconciliations, and documentation
- Inventory Controls
- Build, maintain, and update assemblies and work orders in NetSuite, ensuring bills of materials (BOMs) and component quantities are accurate
- Assist with troubleshooting inventory discrepancies by researching transactions and system data
- Research cycle count variances for root cause analysis and provide support in remediation
- HR Clerical & Administrative Support
- Review timesheets for completeness and accuracy and coordinate corrections with employees and management prior to payroll processing
- Provide clerical support for HR functions, including employee file maintenance and record retention
- Assist the Companys external HR firm with onboarding and offboarding administrative tasks as required
Qualifications / Experience
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in maintaining employee records, timekeeping, and bookkeeping/accounting support
- Experience with accounts payable and account reconciliations
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry
- Ability to work on-site and bilingual (English/Spanish) required due to regular interaction with Spanish-speaking employees
Preferred
- Experience working with assemblies, BOMs, or light manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- This is a fully onsite role based at AquaStar Pool Products headquarters facility in Ventura, CA.
- The position involves extended periods of sitting with some occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. in association with inventory management.

Compensation
This position is hourly and non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and California labor code. Compensation is based on experience, education, and qualifications.
Expected Pay Range:
$26 $32/hourly
This range reflects the anticipated base pay for a full-time, non-exempt employee in Ventura County, California. Actual compensation may vary depending on relevant experience.
