Overview
The Director of Operations for Chicago, IL supports the General Manager with complete oversight of financials and operations of the assigned portfolio to ensure 24 / 7 professional parking management.
Principal Duties
- Manage client relationships and business retention.
- Maximize revenue, manage expenses, and maintain high customer satisfaction thresholds.
- Assist region with business development, proposals, presentations, and transitions for new locations.
- Lead, develop, and direct a team to accomplish annual and periodic goals.
- Identify high‑potential employees to support growth.
- Plan and execute openings of new locations within the portfolio.
- Prepare monthly profit / loss reviews and financial / operational reports.
- Schedule, train, and direct Facilities Managers and Assistant Managers, complying with collective bargaining agreements.
- Serve as liaison to parking patrons and stakeholder groups.
- Manage event operations and monitor market rate structures.
- Additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Understanding of P&L’s.Monthly client report generation.Manage client–LAZ relationship.Willingness to travel daily / weekly (Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, etc.).Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.Strong customer service skills.Team building and interpersonal skills.Independent and multi‑tasking ability.Professional communication at all levels.Interpretation of policies and procedures.Demonstrated sense of urgency and timeliness.Experience
5+ years in a management role.Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office applications.Skills
Parking management experience of multiple locations is required.Physical Demands
Work in elements : heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.Lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.Stand, walk, and run for extended periods.Bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently.EEO Statement
