Respiratory Therapist Role $50 to $55 per hour

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - LTAC Hospital Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

About the Opportunity

MedAdventures is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our partner LTAC facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position is ideal for a skilled clinician who thrives in a critical care environment and is dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory therapy to medically complex patients requiring extended hospitalization and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent patients, perform weaning protocols, and conduct ventilator checks.
  • Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other therapeutic modalities.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function assessments, and pulse oximetry.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - CRT candidates will not be considered.
  • Current Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (through AHA).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute or LTAC hospital setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
