Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document software testing activities for production software and in-house test applications.
• Apply the principles and practices of software quality assurance throughout the software development life cycle.
• Monitor every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards.
• Coordinate with development teams and leaders to relay issues and ensure releases meet target dates and budgets.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Audit all aspects of the SDLC and usage of ALM tool sets.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Manage meetings and group processes to enhance problem solving, ensure high quality decisions, generate commitment, and address conflicts productively.
• Prepare reports summarizing quality status of the various development processes.
• Investigate causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new tools and test strategies.
• Coach others on how work-related interactions contribute to high quality standards and prioritize short-term activities around team priorities.
• Effectively share complex information within and across work teams.
