Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teacher opportunity is available for a middle school emotional support program designed to assist students with emotional and behavioral challenges. This role involves working closely with a structured caseload, providing individualized support to foster positive educational and social outcomes.

Glendale Heights, IL

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver specialized instruction and support within the emotional support program.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs.

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote a supportive learning environment.

Assist students with toileting and personal care when necessary, ensuring comfort and dignity.

Qualifications and Experience :

Valid LBS1 certification required.

Experience working with middle school-aged students in an emotional support setting preferred.

Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Comfortable providing personal care assistance as needed.

Position Details :

Contract duration : ASAP through May 22, 2026.

Full-time schedule : 37.5 hours per week, approximately 7 : 15 AM to 3 : 15 PM.

Onsite work at the designated middle school facility.
