About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : ACLS, BCLS, EKG test on arrival required

Must-Have :

Strong background in PCU within the last year

ED experience preferred, but not required

First timers accepted with EPIC experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience

Description :

Position involves caring for inpatient / CICU Level holds in the ED.

Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, and sepsis.

Other conditions treated include overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia, and medical-surgical cases as overflow.

Candidates will manage and titrate common drips such as lasix, heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, integrillin, labatolol, dopamine, and dobutamine.

Special equipment used includes BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and Phillips Monitoring System.

Requires the ability to manage cardiac drips, administer blood products, and provide care for ventilated patients.

Experience with external CPAP / BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.

Candidates must also be knowledgeable in isolation precautions and basic wound care.

Successful candidates will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Travelers must comply with facility policies, including required drug screening.
