Fire Alarm Project Manager
MCS is hiring for a Fire Alarm Project Manager in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Fire Alarm Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to ensure projects are planned and completed. The Fire Alarm Project Manager will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. Candidates must keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
- Ensuring the overall success of Fire Alarm projects including planning, budgeting, and billing.
- Oversight of the installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with codes and best practices.
- Supervising the cable pulling, termination, testing, and troubleshooting processes during fire alarm installations.
- Maintaining a strong familiarity with NFPA72, Life Safety 101, and IBC regulations.
- Identifying and implementing proactive strategies to reduce project costs, maximize production efficiency, and enhance customer relations.
- Traveling to customer sites.
- Collaborating with other crews, such as fiber optic cable crews, voice data cable crews, and electrical crews to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner.
Required:
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
- Current FASA/BASA certifications are preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- A deep understanding of fire alarm design, including high-rise design, smoke control applications, and system product knowledge.
- Effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced computer skills for project management tasks.
