Spanish Medical Interpreter

A company is looking for an Interpreter I- Spanish- PRN.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitates communication between healthcare providers and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients

Translates written communications and assists LEP patients with healthcare forms

Maintains confidentiality and adheres to the Medical Interpreter Code of Ethics

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate Program or Associate's Degree preferred

1 year of experience in interpreting in a medical setting required

Medical Interpreter Certification Training within 180 days required

Certificate from an Accredited 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program preferred

Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and translating English and targeted languages
