Rep, CRO Mobile Examiner - (P / T) - ExamOne / Louisville, KY area
Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner's primary responsibility is to provide coverage in the field ensuring that mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees, perform all aspects of an insurance exam, including specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. May also act as coach, mentor, instructor and resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collects specimens according to established procedures.
- Conducts in center exams and mobile exams, including basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG. Also collects specimens for pre-employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services.
- Completes application packets and other paperwork accurately.
- Labels, centrifuges and splits specimens as required by test order.
- Uploads and completes cases in portal within 24 hours on weekdays and within 48 hours on weekends.
- Packages specimens for transport and ships to the lab indicated on work orders.
- Transports of specimens, supplies, equipment and materials to appropriate destination safely and timely.
- Maintains records of each specimen collected daily. Supports Record Deletion process when directed by Management.
- Submits original paperwork to destination and provides customer service to clients.
- Follows current Examiner's Manual and departmental policies, protocols and procedures (e.g., Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile policies, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual).
- Maintains phlebotomy logs and an error rate of no more than 3%.
- Confirms exams with clients the day before appointments and status at time of confirmation.
- Corrects non-applicant errors within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Submits accurate time and travel logs and expense forms as directed.
- Properly clocks in / out for work assignments and provides travel logs when applicable.
- Adheres to grooming, dress code and lab coat policies; wears company ID badge at all times; maintains neat appearance.
- Communicates effectively with customers, agents, applicants, coworkers and the public; resolves issues with supervision as needed.
- Maintains neat, clean facilities or work areas and advises on repairs as needed; disposes of biohazard containers as scheduled.
- Assists with inventory counts, stocks supplies, and provides distribution of technical information to the work group.
- Participates on teams and special projects; supports SOP implementation for examiner services per Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
- Mentors and supports new employees under direction of management and supervison; travels as required (flexible travel up to 25 miles) and maintains availability dates in Examview.
- Performs other department-related duties as assigned and uses required electronic devices.
Qualifications
Required Work Experience :
Minimum 100 documented successful blood draws.Minimum one-year phlebotomy experience; experience with pediatric and geriatric patients a plus.Preferred Work Experience :
Urine or hair follicle collection and EKG experience preferred.Physical and Mental Requirements :
Sitting and standing for periods; driving to / from assignments; lifting up to 40 pounds; multitasking; flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and possible on-call duties.Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record with access to dependable / insured transportation.Skills :
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional patient and staff interaction.Good organization and ability to manage concerns; basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.Decision-making based on established procedures; seek supervisor guidance when appropriate.Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
License / Certifications
Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification
