Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs, on company properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set, including knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Property Maintenance :

Conduct routine tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and drywall patching.

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems.

Perform property inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs.

Construction Assistance :

Support make-ready processes and small construction projects.

Maintain tools and materials needed for maintenance and repairs.

HVAC Systems :

Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as filter replacements and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Safety and Compliance :

Adhere to safety guidelines and building codes in all maintenance and construction tasks.

Participate in safety training and create a secure work environment.

Emergency Repairs :

Respond to emergency repair requests, including after- hours calls as needed.

Record Keeping :

Document all completed maintenance and repair tasks in AppFolio .

Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.

2+ years of experience in building maintenance or construction.

Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

Ability to interpret safety regulations and maintenance guidelines.

Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
