Education and Experience :
Must be ANFP certified (Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professional) as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and also have SERV Safe Certification.3-5 years managerial experience.Requires at least six years experience, preferably in a similar facility or a combination of college education and experience.Comprehensive knowledge of Food Service management practices, techniques, and procedures.Comprehensive knowledge of food preparations and proper food handling procedures.Comprehensive knowledge of special diets and food exchanges.General knowledge of food merchandising.General knowledge of mathematics.General knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.General knowledge of computer, i.e. Word and Excel.Knowledge of OSHA regulations, State and Federal regulations and guidelines, Infection Control Standards and H.A.C.C.P.Strong written and verbal communication skills that can be effectively interpreted by those with whom he / she communicates regularly.Ability to give directions and to work independently.Essential Duties :
Accountable for the training and supervision of the Health Services Dining Assistant Manager, lead server and service team and ensure annual evaluation of performance is timely.Accountable for the development and completion of all annual goals.Accountable for creating a pleasant dining atmosphere for residents, their families and guests in the Health Care Dining Rooms.Accountable for monitoring the budget, overstocking inventory through par lists, and the ordering of nourishments to ensure that items are on hand when needed.Accountable for the overall sanitation of the Health Services Dining department and for overall cleanliness and safety, passing all health department inspections.Accountable for demonstrating effective leadership, maintaining a positive attitude and having commitment to Broadmead and the Above.Always customer service focus.Accountable for staying on budget with all Health Services Dining team member salaries and for ensuring that work schedules reflect established work patterns with minimal overtime.Accountable for being at resident counsel meetings in each neighborhood or sending a designee.Accountable for all in-service training, certifications for hostess and lead server.Accountable for all silverware, china, glassware, uniforms and other supplies for Health Services dining and ensures that items are on hand as needed.Accountable for ensuring that menus, modified spreadsheets, and all special recipes (PABH, Super Cereal, etc.) are completed and posted as needed.Accountable for safety issues, menu changes in Health Care and mandatory in-service training for all Health Services dining staff.Expected to be on site for emergency situations as they might arise.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining and Hospitality or Vice President of Facility Services.Abide by the organization's code of conduct in the performance of their dutiesAuthority :
Has the authority to hire, evaluate, coach and administer corrective action and recommend termination for all Health Care dining team members.Has the authority to ensure within the Health Services Dining Department that all Broadmead policies and procedures are followed as written.Has authority request and review equipment purchases and repairs that relate to Health Services Dining.Has authority to make decisions in any area to ensure the smooth operation of the Health Services Dining Department and overall dining process on his / her weekend.Attends monthly Dining Food Committee meetings with key residents and team members
