Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology assignment with cardiac procedures and advanced imaging in Washington, requiring an active WA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unitAssist primarily with CT and MRI procedures, including cardiac interventions, MRGFUS, and sedationAverage daily census includes 4 CCTA's and 5 MRI procedures with approximately 10 patient visits per dayStaffing ratio is 1 : 1, working in a two-room departmentSpecialized procedures include coronary CTA, MRGFUS, pacemaker programming (MRI), IV support, sedation monitoring, and contrast allergy monitoringOperates pacemaker interrogation equipmentUses the Epic EMR system (experience required)Scheduled for day shifts (4x10 hours), 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PMSome schedule flexibility for 3x12 shifts may be availableFloating may be required between facilities within the stateAssist with a range of cardiac and specialized imaging procedures including contrast allergy monitoring and sedationMonitor patients during advanced imaging procedures and support IV access and sedation safetyMust complete all required compliance items and documentation prior to startParticipation in pre-hire modules is required, with modules completed before start and annually thereafterMinimal to no RTO is strongly preferred and must be discussed at time of submissionReliable transportation is required for commuting and floating needsFacility requires scrubs per unit policyFirst-time travelers to the Providence system are welcomeAssignment could be considered as temp-to-perm based on interest and mutual agreementRequirements
Active WA or compact RN license requiredCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications requiredMinimum of 1 year of recent RN experience, with preference for IR or Cath Lab backgroundExperience with cardiac procedures, sedation, and advanced imaging preferredEpic documentation system experience requiredMust provide two supervisory references covering one year within the past three yearsFormer permanent staff of any Providence facility (non-Swedish) must have a 3-month separation before eligibilityCandidates cannot reside within 50 miles of the facilityBenefits
