Director of Development

Job Description

Leads revenue growth through memberships, sponsorships, events, and strategic partnerships, with a focus on South Carolina’s hemp and healthy alternatives industry. This position is ideal for a professional with a trade association mindset who has political campaign, grassroots advocacy, and fundraising experience with the ability to translate those skills into sustainable, relationship-based development.

Required Skills & Experience

· 3+ years in trade association membership/sponsorship, political campaigns, issue advocacy, or nonprofit development with clear revenue or membership growth outcomes.
· Demonstrated success in closing sponsorships, growing memberships, or managing a donor/partner portfolio.
· Experience with grassroots outreach or field-style organizing that can be adapted to member recruitment and engagement.
