Career Summary

As General Manager (GM) at Soul Yoga, you will be responsible for elevating the guest experience, managing teaching and front-of-house teams, and leading operational excellence across both studios. You’ll work cross-functionally with directors, instructors, and team leads to develop and implement business strategies, optimize programming, and ensure a consistent and magical guest experience. This role involves overseeing all aspects of studio operations, coordinating teaching programs (e.g., workshops, retreats, 200 / 300TT), resolving escalations, creating and refining internal processes, and tracking key performance metrics to drive growth

Assigned Location

Team members will be based at either the Five Forks or Downtown studio based on business needs.

Performance Management

  • Lead YES Team leads to achieve or exceed revenue goals.
  • Monitor budgets, sales, and reporting.
  • Ensure team alignment with company mission, vision, and values.
  • Operations Management

  • Oversee merchandise, facilities, marketing compliance, and SYS standards.
  • Build community presence and local business relationships.
  • Audit inventory, cash handling, cleanliness, and shrink control.
  • Staffing & Employee Relations

  • Coach managers to build high-performance teams.
  • Manage hiring, promotions, development, and employee relations.
  • Customer Retention

  • Grow the member base by 25% and maintain churn below 5%.
  • Develop studio-specific customer retention tools.
  • Reporting & Leadership

  • Report directly to the Owners / Directors.
  • Ensure team and studio efficiency while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Daily Duties

  • Oversee teaching schedules and class coverage.
  • Serve as point of contact for teachers, payroll, and operations.
  • Ensure FOH is fully staffed and stepping in when needed.
  • Check in with teachers post-class for feedback and support.
  • Weekly Duties

  • Lead / coordinate workshops and class schedule updates.
  • Audit teacher / class experience (min. 4 classes / week).
  • Join and occasionally lead the weekly Thursday team huddle.
  • Coordinate contracts and update event pages (MBO).
  • Meet weekly with Assistant Studio Manager (YES TL).
  • Handle onboarding, payroll, reports, and issue resolution.
  • Monthly Duties

  • Send “What’s Happening” team updates.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promos, flyers, and web updates.
  • Maintain calendar of events / workshops.
  • Track apparel / snack inventory and manage branded gear orders.
  • Quarterly Duties

  • Co-lead team meetings and class schedule reviews.
  • Analyze data, provide strategic feedback, and review program performance.
  • Annual Duties

  • Conduct teacher and staff reviews twice annually.
  • Coordinate holiday and anniversary events.
  • Handle cancellations and updates related to trainings and holidays.
