Our Emergency Department (ED) has 20 patient beds and sees on average 100 people a day. There are Registered Nurses, Break RNs, Charge Nurses, Physicians, Physicians Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners on this cohesive multidisciplinary team. Our emergency medicine specialists are dedicated to providing comprehensive, leading-edge emergency care to a diverse population.

Position Summary :

As a Charge Nurse in our ED, you will provide care to an assigned patient population in accordance with established protocols and multidisciplinary plan of care. You will utilize independent, dependent and interdependent interventions to restore stability, prevent complications and achieve and maintain optimal patient responses for all patients though centered / patient valued care in our Emergency Room (ER).

Tuition Reimbursement : Repays up to $600 per calendar year for fees expended to attend a job-related seminar, licensure renewal (if mandated by job description), workshop, conference, individual course, or other training programs.

Tuition Loan : Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements :

Graduate of accredited nursing program

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing

BSN preferred

License / Certifications :

Valid CA Nursing License

BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years ED experience required

Prior experience as a Charge RN or Relief Charge strongly preferred
