Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for month-end closing, including journal entries, explanations of variances, and general ledger research. They will also work closely with the Director of Operations, Director of Sales, and Director of Rental to identify and recommend opportunities for cost / productivity improvements. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be involved in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis. They will provide financial training to Business Unit staff and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits. The Financial Analyst will act as a liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group. They will also perform other duties as assigned, including tracking, reporting, and further recommendations.
The Financial Analyst should have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, be skilled at problem-solving, and be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize workload. They should be able to think and plan in a proactive and innovative manner, demonstrating problem-solving abilities, and have strong interpersonal skills to communicate complex financial / operational information to various levels of the organization. A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with two to four years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations preferred. The job requires 10-20% travel. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $70,000, and benefits are available for full-time positions.
