About The Position

Position Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist with experience in Blood Bank operations to join our Pathology department. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality patient care in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine and complex testing in the Blood Bank section including blood typing, crossmatching, and antibody screening

Maintain strict adherence to laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements

Analyze test results, document findings, and report critical values accurately and timely

Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of specimens and reagents

Perform and document quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing

Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support patient care

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year of Blood Bank laboratory experience

Valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (092) issued by New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Primary Source Verification of licensure required

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
