CMS is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to enhance delivery on a large Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Software Development program. This is a high-paced, highly collaborative environment where new ideas and follow through on those ideas have allowed our team to be successful. This RTE will collaborate with other RTEs as well as our Solution Train Engineer (STE) to continue the path of continual improvement throughout the program. Our team provides new development and O&M solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our customer's mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate has past experience from both project delivery and technical management roles.

What You’ll Be Doing :

The RTE will support the STE and the Program Manager with a wide variety of tasks, which may include the following :

• Drive horizontal integration across a portfolio of Agile teams on the program, helping them remove impediments and escalating risks to the STE
• Champion SAFe Agile best practices across your portfolio of Agile teams
• Identify process improvements and implement them as appropriate within your portfolio of Agile teams
• Oversee specific technical initiatives & Release Trains through to a successful delivery
• Work with the development teams to create schedules and release plans
• Analyze trends and offer solutions; look for opportunities for software delivery improvement
• Organize materials for the team's support in Confluence (Release Train implementation plans, process documentation, system diagrams, issue tracking)
• Attend, facilitate, & schedule meetings with customers and other support teams as needed to coordinate Release Trains and foster communication across the teams
• Support the Agile teams with the creation of detailed estimates for candidate Release Trains
• Facilitate and oversee collaboration across teams and with program management
• Manage multi-team software release deployments to ensure coordination
• Participate in program level, cross-team stakeholder communication
• Conduct people management responsibilities, such as performance reviews, one-on-one meetings

Requirements :

U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance.
