Property Inspector

Inspector

We are looking for a full time inspector to perform inspections on government assisted housing rental units and buildings. The units may be single family homes or apartments which are single, duplex, row style, townhouses or located in high rise buildings. The inspector will need to travel in LaSalle and Grundy counties during regular business hours and a company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel.

The right candidate will possess skills in some or all of the following :

Knowledge of :

• Property / apartment maintenance and the ability to identify defects or items in need of repair.
• Principles and practices of basic electrical, plumbing, painting, appliance, heating, cooling and carpentry.
• Techniques for dealing with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, in person and over the telephone
• Modern office procedures, office equipment and computer applications

Ability to :

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS - Any combination of the following experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to be insured for operating company-owned vehicles. Must possess a cell phone with the ability to send and receive voice calls, data and text messages and take photos and videos. (Employee will receive a monthly phone stipend)

We are offering Full Time employment, Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM-4 : 30 PM with excellent benefits.
