Job Description :
The ServiceNow IT Service Management Software Engineer is a junior position responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions to support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and procedures within the organization. This role requires a strong technical background in software development, ServiceNow configuration and customization, and ITSM best practices.
Assist in the design, development, and testing of software solutions to support ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and service request management
Assist in configuring and customizing ServiceNow to support ITSM processes, including creating custom tables, fields, and forms
Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, and business rules to support ITSM process automation and data processing under the guidance of senior engineers
Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and tools, including APIs, web services, and data imports
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with ServiceNow and ITSM software solutions with the guidance of senior engineers
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design software solutions that meet business needs
Develop and maintain technical documentation for software solutions, including design documents, test plans, and implementation guides
Stay up-to-date with new features and best practices in ServiceNow and ITSM software development

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business / mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Requirements :
2+ years of experience with ServiceNow configuration, customization, and development.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM processes, including incident, problem, change, and service request management.
Excellent technical skills, including : ServiceNow scripting (e.g., Business Rules, Client Scripts), ServiceNow configuration (e.g., tables, fields, forms)
API design and development, Data integration and import / export.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
Preferred Qualifications :
ServiceNow certifications (Developer, Administrator, or ITSM)
Experience with cloud-based technologies and SaaS platforms
Knowledge of ITSM industry trends and best practices
Experience with testing and validation frameworks
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines
Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements
Experience with ServiceNow Now Assist
