We are seeking highly qualified Locum Nurse Practitioners specializing in General Medicine to support Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) across Nevada. This flexible, PRN position offers an excellent opportunity to operate your own practice, conduct essential assessments, and contribute to our nation's heroes' well-being. Your expertise will help improve Veteran care through essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, all while enjoying competitive pay and flexible scheduling.

Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
• Ability to perform interview-based assessments and basic physical examinations
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in your own office location
• Must own or have access to a suitable private practice space within designated geographic areas

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations
• Familiarity with VA procedures and documentation
• Additional certifications or training related to veteran health assessments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP)
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in related medical fields
• Proven ability to perform physical assessments and document findings accurately

Other Requirements:

• Own office space within the specified areas: Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, Ely
• Able to commit to ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis
• Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams for bonus eligibility
• Local candidates only; travel included in the rates

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with flat rates for half-day ($600) and full-day ($1200) shifts, plus a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing initial training and exams.
