A day in the life : The Associate, Corporate Development will directly support Power's organic growth and M&A strategy on various initiatives & workstreams within the Finance Team and Power as a whole. This role will serve as a primary analytical resource for the Finance Team, acting as a right hand to the CFO and Finance team. The associate will perform financial diligence on M&A transactions, and will have the opportunity to provide significant input with regards to M&A strategy. Additionally, the Associate will be expected to perform recurring tasks such as the monthly churn / retention analysis along with longer term projects such as annual budgeting and department deep dives. The Associate is expected to have excellent communication skills, possess the ability to "tell a story with numbers'' and explain financial concepts to audiences outside of the Finance and Accounting Teams.
Responsibilities :
- Develop an understanding Power's financial projection model, which is used to drive Company-wide business decisions
- Identify and implement strategies to automate Power Digital's financial reporting structure
- Provide in depth financial due diligence and insights regarding M&A opportunities, including :
- Creation of financial due diligence packages
- Building 1-2 year operating models
- Churn / retention analyses
- Employee compensation analyses
- Synergy analyses
- Reviewing and understanding QoE analyses
- Working alongside counterparts at financial sponsor to align diligence tasks and analyses
- Earnout modeling and tracking (as applicable)
- Other related M&A financial diligence workstreams
- Assist Power's Internal Finance Team with various FP&A Activities on an ongoing basis, including :
- Churn / retention analyses
- Top customers
- Department level revenue contribution and expense analyses
- Annual budgeting
- Financial and operational reporting for business related meetings
- Build robust, automated financial reporting systems to deliver real-time insights to the business and pillar owners.
- Leverage Power Digital's data infrastructure to connect data into insights / reporting ecosystems
- Identify areas of savings / efficiencies and strategies to improve business health
- Other applicable or related duties as assigned
Role Requirements :
2+ years experience in an Investment Banking or Transaction Services / Advisory roleExcellent analytical / problem solving skills, with strong attention to detailBA / BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant degreesAbility to work with unstructured data to derive insights on business performanceSelf-starter who is able to take on and completely own new projectsStrong communication skills, EQ and ability to work in collaboration with the Executive Team, VP leadership team and staff members of varying experience levelsDemonstrated success working in a fast-paced, accountability-driven environmentAdvanced Proficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience gathering and reporting on data from Netsuite & QuickbooksIdeal candidate is based in Southern California, though all geographies within the U.S. will be consideredKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

Fully understand Power's financial projection model, including the ability to articulate the 5-pillars that drive Company performance, the projection methodology and process for making daily updates to eachComplete ownership of the various models, reports and analyses used to evaluate M&A targets from a financial standpoint. Ability to present and explain these analyses to Executives and Senior Leadership Team- defend assumptions, make recommendations and update accordingly.To the extent possible, templatize these deliverables to ensure efficient workstreams and a quick turnaround.Understand Power's various sources of business data, the limitations of each and manipulate accordingly to develop recurring reports to derive business insights.Benefits & Perks :
