Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care

Location : Beloit, WI

Pay Range : $34.40-53.84 / hr (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus : Yes

Shifts Available : 1st Shift (7a–7p)

Hours : 24–36 hours per week

Status : Benefit Eligible

Department : Intermediate / Cardiac Stepdown

Position Summary

Join our compassionate and dynamic team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit . In this fast-paced progressive care environment, you’ll provide direct nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions who require continuous monitoring and skilled intervention.

You’ll play an essential role in assessing, planning, and delivering individualized care, monitoring telemetry, administering medications (including continuous IV infusions), and collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary nursing care for patients in a cardiac stepdown / intermediate setting.
  • Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
  • Administer IV medications, continuous drips, and other complex therapies per protocol.
  • Assess patient condition, identify changes, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge plans.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, infection control, and quality care standards.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensure & Certifications

  • Current RN license in the State of Wisconsin (or compact-eligible) required
  • BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire
  • ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 1 year of hire
  • Experience

  • Previous telemetry or cardiac experience is helpful but not required
  • New graduates with a strong interest in cardiac care are encouraged to apply
  • Compensation & Shift Differentials

  • Competitive hourly pay : $34.40-53.84 / hr (commensurate with experience)
  • Shift Differentials :
  • 2nd Shift – 15% of base pay (up to $5.00 / hr)

  • 3rd Shift – 25% of base pay (up to $10.00 / hr)
