Physical Therapy Assistant

Rancho Physical Therapy is currently looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the registered Physical Therapist, provides therapy assistance for assigned patients. In accordance with State laws, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in line with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a current understanding of the Company’s business and policies.

• These include the ability to estimate, categorize and evaluate information and data.

• Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements.

• Develops and enhances clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations.

• Communicates with patient, families and other clinical staff of treatment variations.

• Provides timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements and physician treatment plan.

• Apply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injury

• Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities

• Work various locations as assigned and need dictates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• License to practice or relevant certification

• Associate or BS degree in PTA

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum.

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.

• CPR certification.
