The Travel Respiratory Therapist position involves providing critical respiratory care in a 25-bed unit during 3x12 night shifts, with a focus on patients requiring advanced airway management techniques. Candidates must possess relevant certifications, a state license, and a minimum of three years of experience in adult critical care or emergency department settings. Responsibilities include administering therapy and managing ventilators, as well as working every other weekend and being open to schedule discussions with management.

Job Details

Position / Specialty : Respiratory Therapist

Shift : 3x12 Nights

25 bed unit.

Years of experience REQ : Minimum 3 years' experience required.

First-timers accepted : No.

Weekend REQ : Will work every other weekend

Is on-call REQ? No.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? May float if needed.

Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Locals accepted : Yes- no radius.

Pending License accepted : Yes.

RTO Restrictions : Discuss time off requests with manager.

Guaranteed Hours : Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.

Job Requirements

ACLS, BLS, NRP, and State License required.

CRT also accepted.

Required Work Setting Experience : Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department.

Required Airway Management Devices / Suctioning : Endotracheal tube / suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal / suctioning.

Required Patient Care Experience / Skills : Patients with ARDS, Aspiration, COVID, and Pneumonia.

Required Medication Administration Skills / Experience : Albuterol, Atrovent, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Xopenex.

Required Medication Delivery Systems Skills / Experience : Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach.

Required Nebulizer Skills / Experience : Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar.

Required Oxygen therapy skills / experience : Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Trach Collar.

Required Ventilator Management Skills / Experience : BiPAP, CPAP, IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation.

Pressure / Volume Ventilator experience required.

Required Professional Knowledge and Skills : ABG interpretation, Basic EKG, Chest Physiotherapy.

Schedule Information

3x12 Nights

Will work every other weekend
