About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Regulatory Compliance to spearhead the establishment of a robust compliance function. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program and governance framework, serving as the primary contact for state regulatory communications, and managing a variety of compliance activities including producer licensing, OFAC, and data privacy. This role is pivotal in conducting compliance risk assessments, leading the approval process for policy forms and filings, and ensuring that the company meets all regulatory requirements. The Head of Compliance will also be responsible for integrating compliance across business processes and building strong relationships with insurance regulators.
Applicants for the Head of Regulatory Compliance position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive compliance experience in P&C insurance, with a preference for those with a background in E&S or program business. A deep understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks for carriers and MGAs, as well as strong knowledge of rate / rule / form filings, ISO / Verisk, and surplus lines requirements, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing compliance programs, particularly in high-growth or start-up environments, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. A law degree or CPCU designation is a plus, and the candidate should be tech-savvy and comfortable with compliance tools and systems.
