Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with a WA or compact RN license, BLS, and NRP for night shift at a high-risk Level 3 Perinatal center. Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit specializing in high-risk, complex obstetric cases Handles antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients with approximately 150 births per month Serves as a Level 3 Perinatal center with a Level 4 NICU available for regional referrals Night shifts available in either 3x12 or 4x12 hour formats RN to patient ratio is 1 : 1 Two operating rooms on unit for C-sections and other obstetric procedures Floating required within the hospital, but not to sister hospitals Weekends required, but no on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR (experience preferred, not required) Scrubs of any color permitted; scrubs provided for OR personnel Locals accepted at the same rate Responsibilities include caring for high-risk pregnancies and newborns, assisting with deliveries, and supporting obstetric surgical procedures Second L&D RN assigned as 'baby catcher' for well, non-compromised infants First-time travelers are accepted for this role Holiday time off is restricted; travelers may take one major holiday off and three additional non-holiday days off, with specific blackout dates Highly preferred that travelers are available to work Christmas Orientation is provided, with modules completed pre-start and during orientation No minimum mile radius requirement for candidates Requirements Active WA or compact RN license or proof of pending license Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, 3 years preferred Epic charting experience is a plus COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Two references required, preferably supervisory or charge nurse Prior employment at the facility requires an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627860.
