We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Failure Analysis Technician.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Tests, troubleshoots and repairs complex system failures
  • Conducts visual mechanical inspection of units, components, subcomponents and / or medical devices
  • Assembles and disassembles units, components and / or subcomponents
  • Performs computer data entry using shop floor systems
  • Follows procedures and diagrams in engineering change orders
  • Interacts daily with operations and materials groups
  • Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and / or other quality system requirements in their department
  • May complete component level trouble shooting (capacitor, resistors, etc. )
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Training

  • Associates degree in electronics, computer repair or other related field, preferred
  • 2 years or more experience in failure analysis, electronics quality inspection, or medical device repair
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics / block diagrams
  • Email and written messaging with basic Excel knowledge
  • Knowledge of advanced computer hardware / components and basic computer software
  • Experience using hand power tools preferred
  • Proficient English abilities required
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with close supervision

    • Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions

  • Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
  • Use of small hand tools
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting
  • Occasional lifting / carrying and pushing / pulling up to 50 lbs.
