Key Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian :

Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans.

Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.

Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on proper nutrition and dietary practices.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Stay up-to-date with current nutrition guidelines and best practices.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; RD / RDN credential required.

Active New York State license (if applicable).

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical or acute care dietitian experience.

Strong communication, counseling, and patient education skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
