Technical / Functional Skills

• Need to be very strong on Oracle architecture / development
• Extensive knowledge in writing simple to complex sql queries
• Exp. in writing procedural languages in Oracle or SQL Server or other databases
• Sql / Server environment T-Sql
• Oracle internal / Catalog views understanding
• Dynamic sql usage
• Any Reporting tool familiarity would be handy
• Working knowledge on Data Warehouse concepts
• Exp. in Design, develop, test and support from SQL stored procedures, views
• Exp. in executing unit and system test scripts, analyzing, capturing and publishing test results
• Informatica (nice to have)
• Unix shell scripting expertise (very helpful)

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborates with business units to define requirements, building analytical datasets, perform analyses, and deliver analytical solutions that meet specific business specifications

Gathers critical information from meetings with various stakeholders to produce useful reporting working closely with department heads, technicians, and managerial staff

Provides thoughtful analysis to enhance reporting functionality and automation of processes. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced data analysts on data analysis and maintenance of data infrastructure

Designs, codes, or configures, tests, debugs, deploys, documents and maintains large and / or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages (PL / SQL specific), testing / verifying applications, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards.

Create databases, tables and other tools to store company data. Develop functions within databases to promote convenience and ease of use.
