Production Associate

1st Shift - Monday to Friday - 7am to 3 : 30pm

3-6 month long assignment

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Set up and start all machines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing or packaging procedures.
• Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery.
• Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Operate machinery to mix, discharge, or handle materials according to operating procedures.
• Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
• Take samples of materials to the lab for evaluation and instructions, if necessary.
• Refer issues / problems to lead / supervisor for disposition.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Ensure data integrity.
• Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Demonstrate and meet qualifications on blending, packaging, weighing operations, and forklift operation.
• Demonstrate teamwork in all phases of operation.
• Follow all rules, laws, and procedures related to HS&E, ISO, and other regulations.
• Perform other projects / duties as assigned or needed.
