California Government Underwriter

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter. Key Responsibilities : Review credit documents, income, assets, and property title / appraisal in accordance with FHA and VA guidelines Make independent loan decisions to approve or decline applications and sign off on conditions Maintain communication and exceptional customer service throughout the loan process Required Qualifications : At least 2 years of recent experience as a DE and SAR Underwriter A minimum of 2 years of experience in FHA and VA lending Thorough understanding of current FHA and VA guidelines Familiarity with federal and state regulations in mortgage banking Proficient knowledge of DU / LP / TOTAL Scorecards
