Preferred qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Preferred candidate will have experience with Veterinary hospital or laboratory workflows and system operations.
Position Summary
VetView Application Developer plays a key role in the ongoing development, support, and evolution of VetView, an integrated Hospital Information System ( HIS ) and Laboratory Information Management System ( LIMS ) used in veterinary teaching hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. This position is part of a collaborative Agile development team responsible for delivering scalable, maintainable, and user-centered solutions that support clinical care, laboratory operations, and business processes.
VetView Application Developer will work across the full software development lifecycle-gathering requirements, designing solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, testing, deploying, and supporting production systems. This role also has a strong focus on documentation, ensuring that technical design, code, and user-facing functionality are well documented for both internal teams and system users.
The ideal candidate is an adaptable team player with strong technical skills and a desire to create impactful software solutions for veterinary clinical care and diagnostics.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies
- Proficiency with Java (Spring Framework preferred), SQL (PostgreSQL or similar), and web technologies ( HTML , CSS , JavaScript).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum or similar).
- Familiarity with source control (Git), issue tracking (Jira or similar), and CI / CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to thorough and clear documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed, multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in healthcare, laboratory, or veterinary systems or workflows is a plus.
