The Opportunity:
We are seeking an in-person (5 days a week) Power Platform Developer with experience in end-to-end architecture and development utilizing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. This role will provide hands‑on development across our enterprise modernization and data initiatives to ensure scalable, secure, and robust implementations that support mission-critical programs and operations. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying custom solutions that streamline operations, enhance data visibility, and support smarter decision-making across the company. Working on the Operational Excellence team, the role requires being able to manage competing development priorities and maintain code quality across all work.

This position is full-time, in person in a CACI office. Preferably in the Norfolk, VA or Reston VA headquarters office.

Responsibilities:
· Application Development: Independently design, architect, test, and fully build custom managed solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools, within an environment without premium licenses ,including PowerFX, Canvas apps with SharePoint lists, and standard connectors. Ensure applications are intuitive, scalable, maintainable, responsive, and meet stakeholder needs. Integrate securely with enterprise data sources. Utilize CSS and HTML to improve layout, content presentation and enhance user interfaces.

  • Workflows and Automation: Design, test, and maintain sophisticated Power Automate workflows for stand-alone solutions or in conjunction with Power App solutions to automate business critical processes. Experience working in a limited environment without premium connector access to develop solutions, loops and complex workflow logic, and failure/error handling. Ability to work with JSON data when building flows and connecting to APIs, including basic parsing, formatting, and troubleshooting payload issues.
  • Data Visualization: Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI to support data-driven insights. Utilize advanced report design, DAX, and Power Query to create meaningful visualizations. Ensure all visualizations include role-based permissions to avoid data spillage.
  • Solution Architecture: Work closely with stakeholders and teammates to own the solution development process. This includes eliciting and documenting requirements, designing data architecture and flows, developing, testing, and delivering individual solutions, while keeping the larger enterprise architecture in mind. This includes creating SharePoint sites, lists, and role-based permissions as part of the solution. Ensure full solutions are user-friendly and align with business goals.
  • Process Analysis: Analyze business processes, utilize generative AI, and develop: tools, reports, or other solutions to meet business needs. Translate complex business requirements into solutions. Serve as technical advisor to stakeholders; translate high‑complexity business needs into multi‑component architectures and implementation roadmaps.
  • Governance, Standards & Best Practices: Adhere to team standards and governance principles, including styles, documentation, and configuration management. Provide enhancement ideas to the team’s Power Platform governance models and other team operations. Ensure all development is well-documented and follows best practices. Collaborate with other developers on architecture, coding practices, automation logic, and solution design.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational support for deployed solutions, addressing any issues or enhancements required post-deployment. Analyze issues, perform root cause analysis and recommend remediation for long-term platform and solution health. Document all relevant findings for later review to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Training and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation. Support training efforts to facilitate user adoption across teams and to ensure users are well-versed in utilizing new solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, AI tools, and industry best practices. Be willing to learn new technologies and incorporate them into solutions as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • 3-5 years proven experience with designing, architecting, and developing enterprise solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerFX, and SharePoint) and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge and experience utilizing standard data modeling techniques and system architecture to design and wireframe solutions
  • Experience with data analysis, DAX optimization, Power Query, and advanced PowerBI modeling, design and development
  • UI/UX Graphic design experience for custom applications
  • Experience with connecting to varied data sources
