Job Description
AECOM's Technology Solutions Department in our Water Business Line is actively seeking a highly motivated, talented, and creative GIS Programmer. In this role you will be able to demonstrate an established progressive career in GIS programming and Information Technology while providing technical GIS support, task management, and coordination on a wide range of enterprise GIS and digital projects and programs across the region.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
- Support large-scale enterprise GIS programs
- Create, manage, validate and maintain various types of GIS data, databases and services
- Develop, deploy and manage web-based geospatial content, applications and systems
- Maintain an effective and frequent line of communication amongst team members and clients
- Ability to work with other AECOM employees to share knowledge and expand their skillsets
- Assist with more traditional GIS tasks (map making, geospatial analysis, etc) when required.
- Coordinate installations, upgrades and enhancements of GIS hardware, software, and procedures with IT and GIS technical leadership
- Develop tools, scripts, dashboards, and workflows to automate and streamline mapping, data management, geoprocessing, and engineering tasks
- Provide detailed documentation of developed workflows.
- Understanding of advanced services of Web GIS, Server, ArcGIS client interoperations
- Perform QA / QC review of GIS data and compile metadata.
