Role Scope :

We are looking for an outstanding Nursing Operations Manager who will help ensure the highest quality standards for clinical delivery to our participants. Reporting to the Vice President of Practice Operations and in close collaboration with medical office leadership, this leader will focus on the management of the Habitat Health nursing workstreams, standards, safety, competencies, clinical oversight, and in-center nursing services. This includes partnering with the onsite PACE Center Nursing Leaders and Center Directors to provide ongoing guidance and support for nursing practice excellence.

Core Responsibilities & Expectations for the Role

  • Create a PACE experience that team members love. Be part of a team that cares and creates joy, an environment where all participants and team members belong, and lead a service-oriented operation.
  • Support the Senior Director of Clinical Programs to formulate policies and procedures and work instructions consistent with recognized standards of professional practice and reflecting the intent of regulatory standards and maintain authority, accountability, and responsibility for nursing services.
  • Create a culture of clinical safety and compliance through the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives that create proactive safety culture. Collaborates on all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and fosters a culture conducive to evidence-based practice and clinical research. Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • As a key member of our Practice Operations leadership team, you'll be responsible for managing the implementation of clinical programs, ongoing quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Maintains continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis and evaluation of patient care delivery. The scope in 2025 includes the following foundational clinical initiatives : primary care clinical procedures, infection control, pharmacy and laboratory operations, with additional items in 2026+, such as data-driven quality improvement, health education curriculums, and End-of-Life and palliative care initiatives.
  • Subject matter expert on patient care delivery model(s), clinical and staffing standards and ensures these standards for nursing are consistent with current research and professional standards and with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards
  • Plans and recommends medical equipment and supplies needed for new facilities or standard equipment needed to provide patient care.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and clinical procedure guides.
  • Engagement with PACE center team and leadership. Ability to effectively present information, implement change management, and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Embody and honor Habitat values within the team.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Some travel is required to PACE centers.

Required Qualifications :

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of California.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields including nursing, social work, psychology, therapy (occupational, physical, speech, recreational), dietetics, gerontology.
  • Knowledge and experience to treat participants and oversee complex clinical needs.
  • 5 years' bedside nursing experience for patients 55+ with complex medical needs. One (1) year supervisory experience with demonstrated clinical program development and implementation.
  • Proof of medical clearance for communicable diseases, including a TB test.
  • Proof that all immunizations are up to date.
  • Proof of current CPR / BLS certification required or requirement to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Proof of valid CA driver's license, personal transportation, good driving record and auto insurance as required by State law.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in nursing, public health, health administration, or other relevant field.
  • Bilingual : Spanish / Mandarin / Cantonese preferred.

  • Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - Remote 80%, Onsite 20%)
  • Compensation :

    We take into account an individual's qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical / dental / vision insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 and is a bonus eligible position. The actual offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate's qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
