Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Lead APP Community Based Practices.

The Rush Community-Based Practices comprises the five School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) located inside of public schools on Chicago's West Side and South Side and the Adolescent Family Center, a health center for young people on the Rush University Medical Center campus. Housed in the Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement, these six clinics increase access to vital preventive, primary and mental health services that keep young people healthy and on track for successful adulthood.

Practice Specifics

• 7 directly reporting APPs
• Role is 60% Administrative and 40% Clinical
• Monday through Friday 8 : 30-5pm
• After Hours Pager Rotation
• Clinical care predominantly at the Simpson Academy SBHC for children age 0-20.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and / or routine medical / surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush has over 400 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. With a Director of Advanced Practice and 34 Lead APPs across the system, Rush's vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range : $108,000 - $152,000
