About the Role
We are seeking a CVE Test Engineer to support the validation of preproduction SSDs through comprehensive testing, automation, and defect management. In this role, you will optimize test strategies, implement new validation approaches, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Optimization
Review and refine test plans, coverage, and validation processes to improve efficiency.
Identify and implement new validation approaches for better test accuracy and expanded services.
Maintain knowledge of product functionality and industry certifications to align testing with industry standards.
Validation & Automation
Develop, plan, and execute a test automation strategy, improving in-house frameworks and tools.
Enhance test cases and validation strategies by working closely with CVE and product design teams.
Enable shift-left testing to catch failures earlier in the development cycle.
Test Execution & Analysis
Prepare and format SSD and server samples for validation.
Execute test cases, monitor test times, and analyze results using Bin Pareto methods.
Generate clear, concise reports to document test findings and recommendations.
Defect Management & Risk Assessment
Perform root cause analysis on failures and collaborate with teams to drive resolution.
Implement structured steps to reproduce defects and ensure traceability of issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to assess test results and manage deviations.
Qualifications
Experience in SSD validation, hardware testing, or storage technology.
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
Ability to analyze and interpret test results to drive product improvements.
Familiarity with validation equipment and industry standards is a plus.
