Job Overview
The Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Trainer, Business Office - Home Infusion is responsible for developing and delivering training programs focused on reimbursement processes within the home infusion revenue cycle. This includes educating staff on billing practices, payer guidelines, claims management, denial resolution, and compliance standards. The trainer plays a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient reimbursement operations while supporting continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. This role with be dynamic in establishing micro learning sessions with an AI tool. Also, developing a program that can be utilized by external customers. Must be comfortable supporting training on multiple client billing / EMR systems including but not limited to EPIC, Brighttree, and CPR.
Responsibilities
- Function as a Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Business Office expert, train staff, and review for continuous improvement Conduct onboarding for new hires and ongoing education for existing team members. Provide in-depth training on infusion billing codes, modifiers, and payer-specific requirements. Train staff on EMR systems, billing platforms, and payer portals. Educate staff on clean claim submission, timely filing, and denial prevention strategies. Support staff in understanding coordination of benefits, secondary billing, and patient responsibility. Conduct audits and provide feedback to improve performance and reduce errors. Monitor documentation and billing practices for compliance and accuracy. Assist with system updates and ensure staff proficiency in digital tools used for reimbursement. Work closely with intake, pharmacy, clinical, and finance teams to ensure seamless revenue cycle operations. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align training with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program Develop and maintain training manuals, SOPs, payer-specific guides, and reference tools. Design and implement training programs for billing, collections, and reimbursement staff. Ensure training aligns with CMS, HIPAA, URAC, ACHC, and other regulatory standards. Create micro learning video using AI tools
- Provide subject matter knowledge to Fairview and with external clients Serve as a subject matter expert for complex benefit and authorization cases. Collaborate with billing, pharmacy, and clinical teams to resolve intake-related issues. Present and communicate with external clients - providing expertise and insight on Intake as well as specific EHR system questions Serve as a resource for complex reimbursement scenarios and payer escalations.
Required Qualifications
B.S. / B.A. OR the equivalent of 4 years of recent / relevant experience in home infusion billing4 years Healthcare experience in revenue cycle functional area4 years Home infusion billing, reimbursement, or revenue cycle operationsPreferred Qualifications

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
