About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Technician

Profession : Cath Lab Technician

Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience

License : Radiologic Technologist credential required

Certifications : BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or equivalent certification preferred

Must-Have : High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree / Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required

Description :

Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity.

Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.

Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Perform all specialized imaging procedures, including angio and complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Assist the Radiologist or Physician Assistant.

Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Respond within 30 minutes during call shifts.

Experience with multiple modalities is preferred.
