Patient Registration Clerk

We are currently searching for a Full Time Patient Registration Clerk to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Your primary responsibility is speaking with patients to review and document their medical and surgical histories as part of the pre-registration process. You assemble medical charts, making sure they are complete prior to surgery. You work under the direction of the Front Desk Lead and also help with checking in patients, answering phones, updating and filing patients’ medical records as needed. Come join our team! The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have some clinical background and be familiar with medical terminology (e.g. MA, CNA). Spanish speaking is a plus!
You must possess a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience in a medical setting, experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center; Endoscopy / Multi-specialty / Ophthalmology is a plus. You must have the ability to speak and understand the English language, strong ethical and moral character references, and basic computer skills. Preferred ability to speak and understand the Spanish language
