Associate Director - Electronic Sales & Client Coverage

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.

We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today's complex, global market. Our platform is fully integrated with central clearing houses and exchanges to support billions in trading volume per day. The Role

Join a growing team of Electronic Client Coverage, Technologists and Algorithmic Salespeople, this role is responsible for driving the technical and analytical support for Clear Street's electronic client base. In the role of Electronic Client Coverage, you will be responsible for managing the support of clients in real time, as well as providing consultation on their usage. The applicant must be highly motivated, self-starting, and have excellent attention to detail while working in a high pressure environment across Equities and Options.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Providing real-time support to our algorithmic platform; including technical and functional queries, knowledge of FIX protocols and support across equities and options.
  • Being a liaison between tech, support and sales teams, driving success in a collaborative working environment.
  • Identify and remediate technical issues while working in concert with support, technology and engineering teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to internal and external clients.
  • Problem ownership, from incident to resolution - including competency in proactive trouble shooting and multi system team coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithmic trading, market structure, and FIX protocol.
  • Communication with exchanges, ATS and execution venues. Working knowledge of order types is helpful but not required.
  • Options trading experience is an important part of the role.

Experience / Skills

  • At least 3 years of professional experience supporting an Equity / Options Algorithmic Trading platform and supporting clients.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or similar field of study.
  • Series 7, 57 & 63 preferred, must have at least one of those licenses already.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management across equities and options.
  • Understanding of FIX protocol across both asset classes.
  • Strong command of TCA fundamental analysis.
  • Knowledge of current market structure landscape.
  • Excellent analytical and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Python, AWS or Snowflake databases and query skills.
  • The Base Salary Range for this role is $125,000-200,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
