Description :

The unit features 26 beds with patient ratios of 1 : 6 or team nursing at 1 : 9.

Staffing includes a charge nurse, unit secretary on days, and two patient care technicians.

The unit is equipped with Alaris IV pumps.

Documentation is managed through an electronic system.

Staff are required to work every other weekend.

Floating to other medical-surgical units may be necessary.

The unit prioritizes patient experience through hourly purposeful rounds, AIDET, and mandatory bedside shift report.

Awards include Unit of Distinction for multiple consecutive years.
