Staffing includes Registered Nurses, nurse externs, and a free-floating Charge RN. Equipment used on the unit includes Philips monitors and Alaris pumps. Documentation is done through Meditech. Staff must meet minimal scheduling requirements based on FTE / contract. Floating policy is determined by the needs of the facility. Patient experience is guided by ICARE principles. The unit is BLS certified. Required uniform is navy blue or black scrubs. The unit has multiple Daisy award winners and has received team recognition. The unit has recently been renovated with new bedside monitors and equipment in every room.
