Rapid Industries is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.
This position will work directly with the Controller, production team, and other members of management. In this role you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, which requires the ability to juggle several organizational tasks at once. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of general ledger, AP / AR assistance, payroll reporting, various reconciliations, month-end reporting, credit card processing, job costing, etc.. This role will support our controller and Accounting team as a whole.
As a Sr. Accountant, you will work heavily in our ERP system to accurately capture job costing data. Responsibilities include tracking inventory levels of materials, work-in-progress, and completed items. This position will monitor and allocate production costs, and distinguish between direct and indirect expenses / labor.
Responsibilities :
- Work with Accounting department to prepare / provide year-end CPA requests.
- Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as occasional payroll processing.
- A comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems.
- Benefits reconciliations
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Communicate with project managers / engineers on progress of jobs : actual vs. estimated cost, percentage of completion, hours spent vs. hours estimated.
- Credit checks & new customer setup
- 1099s
- Complete and understand quarterly payroll tax review process
- Process credit card payments and purchases
- Perform various other accounting reconciliations.
- Ensure labor hours are properly aligned with payroll hours.
Requirements :
3-5 years of Accounting experience in Manufacturing Industry requiredBachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related fieldStrong collaboration skills and ability to work with a teamStrong organizational skillsOutstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports.Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical.
