Job description

The AHWFB Rheumatology Department is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated outpatient team.

What We Offer :

  • CME Reimbursement : Up to $2,500 + 5 additional PTO days / year
  • Work / Life Balance : Mon-Fri, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. No weekends, nights, or call.
  • Generous PTO : Starts at 25 days / year
  • Relocation Assistance : $7,500 within the first 30 days

Role & Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations
  • Use medical decision-making skills for patient care plans
  • Collaborate with the medical team for effective care
  • Order and interpret lab studies and diagnostic procedures
  • Perform procedural skills per guidelines
  • Participate in research projects
  • Precept students and medical learners
  • Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitments

    • Requirements :

    Physician Assistant (PA) :

  • Accredited PA Program graduate; Master's preferred
  • Current NC Medical Board License, NCCPA Certified
  • Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience

    • Nurse Practitioner (NP) :

  • Accredited NP Masters Program graduate, Masters or higher required
  • Current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP license
  • Board certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC
  • Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience
